 n citing? How do I properly reference the sources I’ve used? What count
 s as plagiarism—and how can I avoid it? This course answers these quest
 ions and more.\n\nWe'll guide you through why and how to use direct and i
 ndirect quotations\, and how to clearly distinguish between your own writ
 ing and someone else’s when citing in your assignment. We’ll also cov
 er reference techniques\, introduce various citation styles\, and show yo
 u how to use them. The course will help you apply your sources accurately
  and responsibly.\n\nThe course lasts about two hours and is the second o
 f two sessions designed to help you get started with your assignment. The
  first one is called A Flying Start to Your Thesis 1: Learn About Literat
 ure Searching and Source Criticism\, but each course can be taken indepen
 dently. You decide whether to attend both or just one.\n\nTopics covered:

 ence: This course is primarily intended for bachelor’s and master’s s
