SUMMARY:Researchers with artificial intelligence - safe and sound?
LOCATION:The virtual library
DESCRIPTION:A digital workshop for researchers at NTNU about the use of A
I in research.\n\nArtificial intelligence is increasingly becoming part o
f research practice. Researchers use AI tools to improve writing\, explor
e literature\, support coding and analysis\, generate ideas\, and streaml
ine routine tasks. At the same time\, AI raises important questions conce
 rning privacy\, information security\, research integrity\, transparency
\, authorship\, and the quality of scholarly work.\n\nThis interactive wo
 rkshop\, with polls\, discussion\, and case-based breakout activities\, w
ill explore how researchers can make informed and responsible decisions a
bout AI use throughout the research process.\n\nDrawing on NTNU's guideli
nes\, writing research\, and current publication practices\, participants
will work with authentic research scenarios\, learn about secure and app
ropriate tools and reflect on how AI can support research without undermi
ning scholarly judgement.\n\nThe workshop is relevant for researchers\, p
ostdoctoral fellows and PhD candidates from all disciplines.\n\nWhen: 26t
 h of October\, 09:15 - 12:00\n\nWhere: In The Virtual Library (link opens
zoom)\n\nRegistration gives us an indication of expected participation\,
you get a reminder the day before and the presentation sent to your e-ma
 il after the workshop.\n\nVideolink: https://ntnu.zoom.us/j/97477751921?p
