Researchers with artificial intelligence - safe and sound?

A digital workshop for researchers at NTNU about the use of AI in research.

Artificial intelligence is increasingly becoming part of research practice. Researchers use AI tools to improve writing, explore literature, support coding and analysis, generate ideas, and streamline routine tasks. At the same time, AI raises important questions concerning privacy, information security, research integrity, transparency, authorship, and the quality of scholarly work.

This interactive workshop, with polls, discussion, and case-based breakout activities, will explore how researchers can make informed and responsible decisions about AI use throughout the research process.

Drawing on NTNU's guidelines, writing research, and current publication practices, participants will work with authentic research scenarios, learn about secure and appropriate tools and reflect on how AI can support research without undermining scholarly judgement.

The workshop is relevant for researchers, postdoctoral fellows and PhD candidates from all disciplines.
